Thank You!
Dear Riders, Sponsors and Friends,
This past weekend’s 11th Ride for Hope benefit motorcycle ride for Pine Valley Camp was a great event in so many ways. 150+ riders, meal attendees and volunteers came out on a mostly sunny day to support this event and because of many generous hearts, $19,600 was raised to benefit the ministry of Pine Valley Camp!
The 88 bikes went out from the New Castle Harley-Davidson Dealership and rode 120 miles to the Pymatuning Spillway and back. Following the ride, everyone enjoyed the food provided by Muddy Creek BBQ, Monte Cello’s Italian Restaurant and Wexford Community Presby Church, listened to fun music by the band Hot Rod Willie, and heard who the winners were of the 50 basket items, 50/50 raffle and door prize.
Thank you to the many individuals and organizations who gave of their time, talents and treasures to make this event a success. We had 74 sponsors lend their support financially or with an in-kind gift, and 20+ individuals who volunteered their time to direct traffic, register riders, serve food, run the raffles, and do whatever else was necessary to ensure the day ran smoothly. A special Thank You to the New Castle Harley-Davidson dealership for once again hosting the ride. Your willingness to partner with Pine Valley is very much appreciated!
The monies raised will be directed towards Pine Valley’s Legacy Dining Hall, a new 300 seat structure that is currently being built on the camp’s Ellwood City property. Because the dining hall serves as the heart of camp where much activity and connections occur year-round, the extra space it will provide will allow Pine Valley to continue serving the hurting and at-risk kids who come to camp each year, as well as their families as new programming is developed. This summer, Pine Valley served 603 campers over its 7-week camp program. Celebrating its 29th ministry year, Pine Valley remains committed to reaching out to underserved youth and continues to faithfully fulfill the mission of “Rebuilding Broken Lives through Christ.”
In closing, from Matthew Reichart, Sr., the Executive Director of Pine Valley Camp, and the Event Team members, Thank You for participating! We are continually thankful for everyone who contributes towards our mission in one way or another. Your generosity, commitment and involvement are a blessing and we are grateful.
Sincerely,
Event Team Members:
