CHRIST CHURCH LIST          NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH LIST

You are welcome to deliver or ship any items to 504 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City, PA 16117.

This year we are going to both Christ Church at Grove Farm and New Community Church to receive donations. Thank you for making camp possible for the children in and around the Pittsburgh area!

  • Summer serve

Summer Serve is an opportunity to come to Pine Valley for an evening (5:30 pm-8:00 pm) experience on a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday while camp is in session. Come meet our campers, hear a SERVIMONY from the staff that serve here, and be inspired by how God is at work in the lives of young people. Your group would have the opportunity to serve our campers a meal, help clean up, serve snack, and interact with campers as you serve them. Most importantly, you get to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these kids. It’s a simple act of love that goes a long way.

If you would like to sign up for any dates this summer, fill out this interest survey and we will contact you!

Once you have officially secured a date for your group, you will receive an email confirmation with an attachment to forward to the rest of your group. It includes any details you may need!

CLICK HERE to evaluate your Summer Serve experience. Let us know what you think!

*SERVIMONY--staff share why they come to serve at Pine Valley; it is similar to a testimony.

  • drive ministry

Our campers need our help to get to camp! Experience the joy of driving our campers out of the chaos of the city into the country as they anticipate their favorite week of the year. Enjoy the stories they tell of camp as you return them to the city at the end of a life changing week. Be a part of their story!

Would you consider driving one of our vans to pick up campers on a Sunday afternoon and/or Friday evening?   If you are able to be a driver for us and want more details please call our office at (724)-752-1661 or email to info@pinevalleycamp.org.

  • Office volunteers

Tuesdays are our normal volunteer days, but if you cannot make it on Tuesday, please let us know and we can have you come on another day. There are many opportunities to help in the office:

    • We often need help with stuffing and labeling newsletters and other mailings.
    • If you have the desire to help on computers, we have a need for people with a solid knowledge of Word, Excel and/or the searching the internet for research projects.
    • We regularly need help with filing (both paper filing and scanning into our digital files)
If you are interested, please contact Emily Toland:
  • retired tuesdays

Retired? Come and join us on Tuesday mornings as we serve together and use our different skills to help out Pine Valley!

    • We start at 8:00 am, take a break for coffee mid morning and then finish up around 2:30 pm.
    • The Maintenance Directors provide a small list of projects that need to be done each week and the Tuesday crew works on these projects (Usually the Retired Tuesday projects are best for skilled workers).
    • This program runs during our off season from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Call the office with any questions at (724) 752-1661 or email info@pinevalleycamp.org.

  • Work days

Work days consist of maintaining camp facilities, building new facilities, and readying the camp for our busy summer season. Some ongoing projects include:

    • We are working on the foundation of a new duplex cabin which will sleep up to 30 and includes a central living/dining space. Once the foundation is up we will have volunteer opportunities for work such as framing, siding, and roofing. As the progress of the building continues, we will also have plumbing, electrical, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, and other interior work. We would love to have you come help with that.
    • We are also working on a camp home where staff members Matto and Jen Reichart and their six children live.  Their house had a new addition added on this past summer and we are currently working on the exterior of the addition, primarily siding and roofing. Once the exterior work is complete, we will move on to the interior and will need help with electrical, drywall, flooring, etc.
    • Adopt a cabin: spring clean, paint, hang curtains, repair furniture, etc.
If you are interested at all in volunteering, please submit a Work Day Request and follow up by calling the office (724) 752-1661.
